Albert M. Horsfield, 95 of 425 East Seventh Street Mt. Carmel passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Senior Living Center.
Born in Mt. Carmel on December 20, 1925 he was the son of the late Vernon and Irene (Minnier) Horsfield.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He received the European Theater Ribbon, Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.
Albert was married to the former Lucy (Schultz) Horsfield who preceded him in death.
Albert had various jobs throughout his life. He repaired juke boxes and pinball machines, was employed for many years at the former Cardinal Container Corporation in Mt. Carmel Township and most recently helped his son Albert out at A&F Automotive.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and the Anthracite Fire Company.
Surviving are his significant other Carol Klinger with whom he spent thirty-two years, two sons Albert Horsfield and his wife Mary Ann of Lavelle, David Horsfield and his wife Jean of Johnstown, grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Sharon Brosh, three brothers and two sisters.
Religious services will be held 11:00 am. Monday December 20, 2021 with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
