Anna Mae Augustine

Anna Mae Augustine, 78 of 32 South Vine Street Mt. Carmel passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home.

Born at the Geisinger Hospital in Danville on Christmas Day 1939 she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary “Mamie” (Dunn) Augustine.

She was a graduate of the former Catholic High in Mt. Carmel.

Before her retirement, Anna Mae was employed for many years as a secretary for the State of Pennsylvania.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she enjoyed volunteering her time and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She volunteered for many years with the Meals on Wheels program. She also was a long time Elvis Presley fan.

Surviving are one sister, Marie Danisewicz of Coatsville; six nephews, three great nephews and one great niece.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was one brother, Richard Augustine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis Karwacki, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beaverdale. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
