Anthony William Stabinski, 40, of Mt. Carmel passed away on Saturday evening after sudden and unexpected health complications that had occurred.
Prior to his passing, Anthony made a tremendous recovery from a traumatic accident in 2011. His determination and drive to achieve the quality of life he wanted was unstoppable. His five years of hard work, rehab and countless hours of support and strength from his wife, daughter and family gave him the willpower to succeed, and succeed he did. Now he rests peacefully to watch over all who have been a part of his life.
Born on September 21, 1976 at Bloomsburg Hospital he was a son of Gregory and Theada (Frye) Stabinski of Wilburton #1.
Anthony attended the former Holy Spirit Elementary School, Mt. Carmel and Mt. Carmel Area High School. He was a graduate of Welder & Tester Institute as well as the Milton School of Truck Driving earning certifications in both fields.
He was previously employed by PennDOT, the Shamokin Filler Coal Company and Knoebels.
Anthony was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel.
He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, wife, family and dogs. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper which he loved to do with his brother, daughter and wife.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa A. Stabinski who was taken at a very young age.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife of 13 years, Alicia (Balonis) Stabinski of Mt. Carmel, his daughter, Beth Ann Stabinski, Mt. Carmel; one brother, Lance Stabinski and his wife Melissa of Marion Heights and an abundance of relatives from both sides of the family.
Religious services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel. Rev. Martin O. Moran, III will officiate.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy to help defray funeral expenses can be made to the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home.
