Carl Allen Mekosh, 56 of 4085 Aristes Highway, Aristes passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Born on April 20, 1967 at the former Ashland State Hospital, he was a son of the late Charles “Sonny” Mekosh and Fay (Reiner) Mekosh.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School.
Carl was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Keystone Anthracite Company.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Carl also enjoyed his many road trips.
Surviving are one sister, Michelle Wills and her husband Thomas of Kulpmont; two brothers, Charles Mekosh and his wife Sue of Atlas and Stephen Mekosh of Mt. Carmel; three nephews and one niece, Chuckie, Mikey, Logan and Ashley; and great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Religious services will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Interment will follow in Mt. Camel Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
