Charles P. Muldowney, 68 of 424 East Sixth Street Mt. Carmel passed away on Friday, August 10th, 2018 at his home.
Born on March 7th, 1950 at the former
Ashland State Hospital he was the son of the late Grace Muldowney.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1970 until 1972.
On June 14th, 1975 in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel he married Marian E. (Hodrick) Muldowney who survives.
Prior to his retirement, Charles had worked for many years for the Mt. Carmel Borough street department.
Charles was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, the Knights of Columbus Council #628, American Legion Post 91 and the West End Fire Company all of Mt. Carmel. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Mt. Carmel Area Red Tornadoes and the University of Notre Dame. He also enjoyed his time spent in his garden.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marian E. Muldowney are one daughter Melissa Muldowney of Mt. Carmel; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Pixie Sue and Gizmo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 13th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, 47 South Market St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851 or Mommy and Me Rescue, 610 East Fifth St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor is in charge of arrangements.
