David M. Langton

David M. Langton, 66 of Mount Carmel passed away on Saturday night, December 14, 2024 in the home of his son and daughter-in-law, David and Veronica Langton.

Born in the former Ashland Hospital on February 10, 1958, he was a son of the late Edmund and Mary Theresa (Shannon) Langton.

He was a 1977 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School.

In 2003, he married Mary Anne (Shirmer) Langton who preceded him in death on October 20, 2014.

Dave was a proud “Gapper”. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and was a life member of the Locust Gap Fire Company and the West End Athletic Club in Mount Carmel. He was also a member of the Mount Carmel VFW Post 2110 and the Lithuanian Club in Mount Carmel.

Surviving are two sons, David Langton Jr. and his wife Veronica of Mount Carmel and Corey Langton of Mount Carmel; three daughters, Shannon Langton of Gowen City, Megan Janolek and her husband John of Mount Carmel and Dana Fuller and her husband Russ of Mount Carmel; eleven grandchildren, Spencer and Isaac Langton, Camilla, Callan, and Conor Chiu, Jacob, Caleb, and Jocelyn Janolek, Kirsten Kressler, Kayla Fuller, and Reghan Fuller; four brothers, Edmund Langton and his wife Catherine of Gilbertsville, Charles Langton and his wife Elaine of Mount Carmel, Robert Langton of Mount Carmel, and Daniel Langton of Locust Gap; three sisters, Mary Frances Lombardi and her husband Louis of Blue Bell, Carol Cahill and her husband George of Bechtelsville, and Verna Pomar of Bechtelsville; an uncle, Joseph Shannon of Locust Gap; many nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Very Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at the Jospeh J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Locust Gap Recreation, 49 Spring Street, Locust Gap, PA 17840.
