Dennis P. Bucher

MOUNT CARMEL — Dennis P. Bucher, 60, of 214 S. Poplar St., passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at his home. He was born Jan. 3, 1956, in Ashland State General Hospital, to the late Raymond E. and Frances E. (Chapman) Bucher. He was a 1974 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. After high school, Dennis served in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1977. On Nov. 8, 1974, Dennis married Vera (Hoffman) Bucher, who survives in Mount Carmel. Dennis belonged to Local 158 laborers union. He also was previously employed as a security guard and had worked at Goulds Pumps, Ashland. He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed the outdoors and he was an avid hiker and target shooter. He also enjoyed RC car racing. In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by a daughter, Andrea Bucher, of Mount Carmel; a son, Kyle Bucher, of Kulpmont; a sister, Patricia Michalkovich and her husband, Ronald, of Den-Mar Gardens; three brothers, Michael Bucher and his wife, Beth, of Kulpmont, Daniel Bucher and his wife, Robin, of Mount Carmel, and David Bucher and his wife, Ellie, of Mount Carmel; a mother-in-law and father-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bucher. BUCHER — Dennis P. Bucher, 60, of 214 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel. The funeral service will be private.
