Avid turkey hunter retired from PennDOT
Donald Adamski Sr., age, 79, 247 Black Bear Drive, Catawissa, passed away on Wednesday Nov. 9, 2016, at his home after a long illness.
Born in Hackensack, N.J., on March 23, 1937, he was a son of the late Louis Adamski and the late Rose (Wanco) Adamski.
Donald retired after working for 25 years for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a longtime Shop Steward and had worked all his life as a mechanic.
On May 21, 1960, he married Patricia A. (Drewes) Adamski who survives.
Donald was an avid hunter. He especially loved hunting for turkeys many of which are displayed in his home.
Donald was loved and respected for his diligence and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons: Donald Adamski Jr. and his wife, Gloria, of Catawissa; William Adamski of Catawissa; two
daughters: Patricia Hummer and her husband, Charles Jr., of Danville; Kathleen Adamski of Nescopeck; seven grandchildren: Michael, Gregory, Brooke, Bethany, Brittany, Jessica and Nakaiya; and four great-grandchildren: Landen, Amelia, Samuel and Greylen.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, from 1-3 p.m. at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor. Burial will be private. The family will be providing flowers.
