MOUNT CARMEL — Dorothy Irene Wydila, 92, of 549 W. Second St., passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born July 2, 1923, in Mount Carmel, a daughter of the late Joseph Herman and the late Anna (Pavuk)Herman. Dorothy graduated from Mount Carmel High School. On Sept. 27, 1952, in Mount Carmel, she married Edward J. Wydila, who survives. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake and was best known for her pierogies. She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Tloczynski, of Bloomsburg, and Cynthia Dautrich and her husband, William, of Atlanta; two sons, John Wydila and his wife, Fran, of Rockaway, New Jersey, and Dr. Michael Wydila and his wife, Jane, of Chadds Ford; and eight grandchildren, Stephen and Jessica Tloczynski, Kayla, Michael, Sarah and Jed Wydila, and Deanna and Alyssa Dautrich. She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. WYDILA — Dorothy Irene Wydila, 92, of 549 W. Second St., Mount Carmel. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Divine Redeemer Church with the Rev. Martin O. Moran as celebrant. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Viewing will be held from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor.
