Ellen M. Ferdock

Ellen M. Ferdock, 91 of 234 E. Seventh St., Mount Carmel passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her residence.

Born in Centralia on July 10, 1926 she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Urban) Uroskie.

She attended schools in Centralia.

On August 14, 1954, in the former St. Ignatius Church, Centralia, she married Edward S. "Sledge" Ferdock who preceded her in death on November 16, 2011.

Ellen was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and was a former member of St. Ignatius Church, Centralia.

She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are two sons, Edward Ferdock and his wife Brenda of Elysburg, and James Ferdock of Mount Carmel; two daughters Helen Klokis and her husband Joseph of Atlas and Donna Shearn and her husband Joseph of Mount Carmel; five grandchildren, Kimberly Dunn, Joseph Shearn, Tammy Drumheiser and Michael and Steven Ennis; one step granddaughter, Bethany Thompson; twelve great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Edward S. Ferdock, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Ennis; one grandson, Charlie Ennis; one step grandson, Michael Klokis; five brothers, Andrew, Anthony, George, Nicholas and Joseph Uroskie and one sister, Ann Rodavitch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 am in the Church of Our Lady in Mt. Carmel. Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Centralia. A viewing will be held in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:45 am.
