Fay A. "Aggie" Mowery

Fay Agnes “Aggie” Mowery, age 61, of Mount Carmel, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born on September 14, 1961 in Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late William and Fay (Miller) Ahrensfield.

Fay was a devoted mother to her children, Amanda L. Vetovich and her husband Jim, Daniel A. Snyder and his wife Merissa, and Matthew C. Snyder and his wife Morgan. She also was a loving grandmother to Alijah, Zachary, Daniel, Raelyn, Khloe, Bryce, Lillian, Brantley, Greycen, and Maisy.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her beloved husband, Richard Mowery in 2018, and her son, Robert A. Snyder in 2012. Despite the pain of their loss, she remained strong and continued to devote herself to her family and the things she loved.

Fay had a creative spirit and loved to cook, craft, create things, and most of all play bingo. She was an adventurous and independent woman who enjoyed biking and shuffleboard, as well as visiting beaches, casinos and Ocean City. Fay also had a kind heart and a compassionate nature, always looking for ways to help her loved ones.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Fay is survived by her loving fiancé Jack Guise and caring siblings, Debbie, Virginia, Billy, and Diane, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Fay will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Religious services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Rev. Rose Marquardt will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
