Frank “Pud” Zosh, formerly of Strong passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township.
Born in Shamokin on February 29, 1952, he was the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Shicowich) Zosh.
He was a 1970 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Frank was employed as carpenter and most recently worked as a driller in area coal mines before his retirement.
Pud was an avid hunter. He enjoyed loafing with his best friend Ray Kornacki at Ray’s Gulf-Service Station in Mt. Carmel and going on adventures with Mike Magennis.
Surviving are two nieces, Ashley Brokenshire and her husband Wayne of Kulpmont and Brook O’Gara of Kulpmont; great nephews, Aidan and Austin Brokenshire; and his brother-in-law, William O’Gara of Kulpmont.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rena M. O’Gara on March 21, 2022.
Religious services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervisor, 40 South Market St., Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, officiating. Interment will be private in St. Casmir’s Cemetery, Marion Heights. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
