Genevieve "Jenny" Butkiewicz

Genevieve “Jenny” (Kulbickas) Butkiewicz, 93 of Mount Carmel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 with her family by her side.

Jenny was a loving, kind and compassionate person in all her relationships with her family, friends and neighbors. She was an avid reader, loved history, foreign movies and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed her travels with her family to Washington, D.C., out west, to France and to Italy where she attended Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul II. Her real passion was polka dancing and she was a regular on the Pennsylvania Polka show for fifteen years. She will be dearly missed by all and she will live in our hearts forever.

She shared loving relationships with and is survived by her two daughters, Elaine Butkiewicz and her husband Alan Ruof and Marie Gallo and her husband Joe; daughter in law Dr. Barbara Heere; three grandchildren, Miah Gallo, Tom Butkiewicz, and Mike Butkiewicz and his wife Yuan Hao; great-grandchildren, Kate and Quinn; niece, Joann Poston and extended family members also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Butkiewicz and her son, Dr. Bernard L. Butkiewicz.
