John R. Laughlin

John R. “Jack” Laughlin, 64 of 27 East Sixth Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence.

Born in the former Ashland State Hospital on August 2, 1954 he was a son of the late John J. and Eileen A. (Schlegel) Laughlin.

Jack was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School.

He was a retired Bridge Maintenance Worker for Northumberland County.

Jack was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and a member of the former St. Joseph’s Church, Locust Gap. He enjoyed his many trips to his camper.

Surviving are his daughter, Christine Michelle Laughlin of Mt. Carmel, one sister, Sandra L. (Laughlin) McAndrew of Mt. Carmel; one sister-in-law, Sheila Laughlin of McSherrystown; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and two great great nieces.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were two brothers, William and Michael Laughlin.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Locust Gap.
