Joseph B. Yost, 77, of Mt. Carmel and formerly of Centralia passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Green Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pitman.
Born in the former Ashland State Hospital on August 24, 1940 he was the son of the late William E. and Pauline (Borsock) Yost.
He was a 1958 graduate of Con-Cen High School.
Before his retirement he was employed as a Machine Operator for the Transcontinental Corporation.
Joe was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Centralia American Legion Post 608 in Wilburton.
Surviving are one sister, Elizabeth Zecca and her husband Ronald of Tamarac, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Frances Yost of Philadelphia and Judith Yost of North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Owen McGinley of Aristes; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Mary McGinley; and seven brothers, Henry, James, Raymond, William, Francis, Thomas and John Yost.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday August 24, 2018 at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant.
Interment will be follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Centralia. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 am until 11:45 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor
