Joseph E. Ferenc

Joseph E. Ferenc, 64 of 203 South Chestnut Street, Mt. Carmel passed away suddenly on Friday, December 9, 2022 at his home.

Born in Dover New Jersey on July 5, 1958, he was the son of the late Lena M. (Porzi) Ferenc.

Joe was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School.

He was married on August 3, 1979 in St. Paul’s Church in Atlas to JoEllen (Hysock) Ferenc who survives. They celebrated forty-three years of marriage together in August.

Joe had been employed for Pretium Packaging in Hazelton prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the Valley Gun and Country Club in Elysburg. Joe was an avid target shooter, devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Keith D. Ferenc of Mt. Carmel and Joseph S. Ferenc of Allentown; one granddaughter, Raleigh; one brother, Stanley Ferenc and his wife Kathy of New Jersey; his sister-in-law, Mary Gasperetti and her husband James of Mount Carmel; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
