Judith Podpora, 77 of 176 Second Street, Strong passed away on Wednesday, September 12,, 2018 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey on May 25, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Kiefer) Chandler.
Judith was a graduate of North Plainfield High School in New Jersey.
She was a retired Broward County 911 Dispatcher.
Judith was avid animal lover and belonged to several humane societies.
Surviving are her daughter, Lori Podpora of Strong; her son, Chester Podpora of Elysburg; eleven grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Kyle, Caitlin, Cheyenne, Julia, Christina, Alexa, Tyra, Rachyl and Chester; several great-grandchildren including Evan, Max and Harper and her lifelong friend, Chester A. Podpora of Frenchtown, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 am the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
