June M. Luta

June M. Luta 69, of 39 South Maple Street Mt. Carmel passed away on Saturday January 5th 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on June 28, 1949 daughter of the late Robert and Helen Slodysko.

June is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School.

June was employed for many years as a waitress at the former Almond’s restaurant in Elysburg and also had been employed as a civilian worker at Andrews Air Force base.

She married Leonard F. Luta who survives.

June attended Holy Angels Church with her husband Leonard. She was an avid cook and enjoyed to jar. She enjoyed socializing and was a member of Veterans of foreign wars post 2110 and American Legion post 91.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter Kimberly Suchocki of Mt. Carmel, two sons, grandchildren, one brother Joseph Slodysko of Shamokin, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

Religious services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 10th, 2019 in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Rev. Andrew Stahmer will officiate. Interment will follow at All Saints cemetery Ralpho Township. Viewing will be held Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.
