Kathleen A. Murin-Spishock

December 3, 1970 — September 22, 2023

Kathleen Murin Spishock, age 52, affectionately known as Trinky, of Augustaville, Sunbury passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Bloomsburg on December 3, 1970 to Antoinette (Stabinski) Murin who survives and the late Robert J. Murin.

Kathleen’s caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone she came in contact with. She had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them.

Kathleen was an avid lover of flowers and horticulture. She spent much of her time in her spectacular flower gardens being followed around by her golden retriever fur babies, Jameson, Guiness & Eion. Her love of the outdoors brought out the happy, free, and feisty spirit that defined her.

Kathleen’s other love was that of her family. Family meant everything to her. Not a day went by that she didn’t phone her mother to chat and say goodnight. Her bond with her husband, Mikey, was something to behold. They were lucky enough to have recently celebrated 21 years of marriage.

Kathleen was always selfless and put others first. She was fun loving, outgoing, and vivacious. She was an example to many and a shining light to all who knew her. She will be missed more than words could express but she will be forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her much-loved father, Robert J. Murin; her grandparents, Anthony and Mary Stabinski, and Albert and Sabina Murin.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Spishock of Sunbury and father-in-law, Paul Spishock of Mount Carmel. She is also survived by her mother, Antoinette Murin and her fiancé William Stewart of Kulpmont; her older sister, Colleen Murin Kreiser and her husband Heath of Manheim; her younger brother, Robert A. Murin and his wife Iryna, and their daughter, Mira all of Shepherdstown, WV; her niece, Tara Novak and her husband Jason, and their son Greyson Novak all of Milton, DE; her nephew, Gary T. Bregensir, III and his partner Emily Klick of Northumberland. She also has many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will also miss her deeply.
