Kenneth J. Krupa, 77 of 441 West Avenue, Mount Carmel passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 5, 1946 in Shamokin State Hospital, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Gertrude (Seroskie) Nolan.
Ken was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, where he was voted most handsome in his class.
In 1984 he married Donna (Yarnall) Krupa who survives. They celebrated 40 years of marriage in June of this year.
Ken owned and operated Ken’s Electric for many years and retired from PPL Corporation.
He was a life member of the Wilburton Fire Company where he served as an officer, organized their car show for the past twenty-five years and was Captain of their shuffleboard team. He was a member of the Clover Hose Fire Company and West End Athletic Club both in Mt. Carmel.
Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a proud Mt. Carmel Area Football fan, Penn State Football fan and Buffalo Bills Football fan. He also enjoyed his many trips to the casino.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Michele Krupa of Strong; a grandson, Christopher Yucha; a sister, Shirley Keating of East Cameron; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Dolores Pavloski, Jeannie Handerhan, and Edith Honabach and her husband Wayne; brothers-in-law, Pete Yarnall and his wife Andrea, Clyde Yarnall and Mark Yarnall; and his loving dog, Max.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brother-in-laws, Rose Marie Luberecki and her husband Raymond, brother in law John Keating.
Religious services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Rose Marquardt officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
