Lawrence J. 'Corky' Thul

FRACKVILLE — Lawrence J. "Corky" Thul, 86, of 500 W. Laurel St., passed away at Broad Mountain Nursing Home in Frackville.
He was born in Mount Carmel, Dec. 16, 1930, a son of the late John and Julia (Nezisko) Thul.
He attended Mount Carmel schools.
Lawrence served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
He was a retired printer.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Lawrence was a member of American Legion Post 91 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2110, both of Mount Carmel.
Survivors include a sister, Loretta (Thul) Wolfgang, of Schwanksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Staver; and three brothers, John, Joseph and Thomas Thul.

THUL — Lawrence J. "Corky" Thul, 86, of 500 W. Laurel St., Frackville. At the deceased's request, services and burial will be private. Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, is in charge of arrangements.
