Leonard L. Maurer

Leonard L. Maurer, 53, of 200 East Seventh Street Mt. Carmel passed away suddenly Saturday July 14, 2018.

Born on August 27, 1964 son of Maryann (Jones) Maurer who survives and the late Leonard Maurer.

He attended North Schuylkill Schools.

On August 30, 1986 at the former St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel he married Debra (Ahrensfield) Maurer who survives.

Leonard was employed at a Diesel Technician for Travel Centers of America.

He was of the Catholic faith.

“A” member and life member of the American Hose Company Ashland, Good Fellowship Club in Ashland, Clover Hose Company Mt. Carmel, National Rifle Association and the APA Pool Association.

Leonard was an avid camper, gun collector, hunter and pool shooter. He enjoyed 8 and 9 ball pool shooting.

In addition to his Mother Maryann Maurer of Ashland and his wife Debra Maurer, he is survived by one daughter Eve-Marie Maurer and her fiancé Jermaine Lahr of Mt. Carmel, one step son Greg Berezovske of Mt. Carmel, two step daughters Billie Jo Kulick and Nicole Berezovske both of Mt. Carmel, four grandchildren Dillen, Jocelyn Alayna and Rylee, Eighteen step grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, one sister Mary Catherine Cress of Girardville, three brothers Scott Maurer of Ashland, Jonathan Maurer and his wife Kristi of Wilburton and Keith Maurer of Ashland. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews.

Religious services will be held 8 PM Thursday with the Rev. Francis Karwcki officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Burial will be Monday at 10 AM in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home
