Lorraine L. Honeckier

Lorraine L. Honecker, 86 formerly of Mt. Carmel passed away on Monday September 11, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mt. Carmel on April 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Kuba) Rolko.

Lorraine was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

Prior to her retirement, Lorraine worked as a seamstress in area garment factories.

On November 27, 1952 in St. John the Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel she married Joseph V. Honecker who preceded her in death on February 18, 1987.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary both of Mt. Carmel. She along with her late husband Joe were very active with the Meals on Wheel program during their lifetimes. Lorraine also enjoyed cooking and most especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother Robert and one sister Joan

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township.
