Louis R. Walters, Jr. 65 of 219 Water Street Ranshaw passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his home.
Born in Dover, New Jersey on November 24, 1955 he was the son of the late Louis R. Walters, Sr. and Alice M. (Condron) Walters.
Louis attended Mt. Carmel Schools. He served in the United State Navy.
He was a retired wood worker.
Louis was married on June 29, 1991 at Fowlers Hollow State Park to Gloria (Caldwell) Walters who survives.
He was a life member of the Brady Fire Company and a member of the Pastime Club in Shamokin. He enjoyed shooting pool, camping and fishing. Louis was most of all a diehard Philadelphia Eagles Football fan. Above all, spending time with his grandchildren was most important to him.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Corina Roush of Kulpmont and Tara Okronglis of Kulpmont; one son, Thomas “T.M.” Ryan and his companion Amy Smith of Kulpmont; seven grandchildren Austyn, Tori, Madison, Joseph, Adalay, Kalista, Keeley and Bailey; three sisters, Peggy Wehry and her husband Tyrone of Klingerstown, Patty Bush and her husband John of Elysburg, Nancy Froutz and her husband Carl of Mt. Carmel; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a close friend Keith Walczak.
Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
