Louise V. Daulis, 92, of 122 South Beech Street, Mount Carmel passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.
Born in Shamokin in her parents home on November 15, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Veronica Joraskie.
She was a graduate of the former Mt. Carmel Township High School. While in high school she was on the former St. Peter’s Church basketball team which she enjoyed.
Louise was employed for many years in the machine shop at the former Burndy Corporation in Milford, CT. She also provided childcare and house upkeep for several years prior to having her own children and becoming a stay at home mother.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.
Louise was an avid polka and Lawrence Welk fan. She also enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed the outdoors but most of all looked forward to her many calls from her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Roberta Gamble and her husband Donald of Orange, Connecticut, and Susan Chase of Mt. Carmel; one son, Frank Daulis of Mt. Carmel; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild soon to arrive; two sisters, Rita Shuda of Kulpmont and Lorranie Kimsel of Mt. Carmel; son-in-law, Joseph Odorizzi of Mt. Carmel; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Daulis; three daughters, Sandra Chase, Nancy Chase Odorizzi and Elaine Daulis Parent; two brothers, Lawrence Jorakie and Francis Joraskie; and son-in-law, John Parent.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with Rev. Monsignor Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until 10:15 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc.
