Madeline B. "Mae" Wolfe

Madeline “Mae” B. Wolfe, 91, of Mount Carmel passed away on Sunday morning, September 4, 2022 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Shamokin on May 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Francis and Josephine (Zelinski) Dorkoskie.

Mae retired from the Selinsgrove Center after 33 years of dedicated service.

She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Divine Redeemer Parish, Mount Carmel.

Mae is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Petruskevich wife of Francis; son-in-law, Robert Muldowney; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and their respective spouses.

She was Gram to many, including patrons of Dorko's Cafe in Mount Carmel which she owned & operated for many decades.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wolfe on April 23, 1978; her daughter, Bonita Muldowney on May 6, 2022; five brothers and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Rev. Bernard Wamayose, A.J., Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the Joseph J.
