Margaret "Peggy" Marlow

April 16, 1933 — February 18, 2025

Wilburton, Pa.

Margaret “Peggy” (Klischer) Marlow

“See you later, Alligator…

In the early morning of February 18, 2025, as she slept peacefully, Margaret “Peggy” (Klischer) Marlow’s soul at last found release from her lengthy struggles with illness. No longer will she suffer from the confusion that robbed her of precious memories, nor the pain that plagued her. She has found her way home, joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, her cherished daughter, and the many loved ones who went before her.

Peggy was born at home in Wilburton on April 16, 1933, the only child of the late Harrison and Laura (Howe) Klischer. She attended Wilburton Elementary School and graduated from Conyngham High School in Aristes. After school, she worked at Woolworth in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, and later at ACME Market until her marriage.

On October 6, 1958, in Kulpmont, Peggy married Robert “Skip” Marlow Sr. With whom she shared a loving, devoted marriage until his passing in July of 2019.

An avid crafter, Peggy found joy in making, painting, and selling crafts. She was passionate about painting ceramics, enjoyed knitting, playing Chinese checkers, and—most of all—reading comfortably in her rocking chair by the fireplace. When visitors arrived at her door, they were welcomed by a fridge brimming with her homemade sweet tea and a pretzel jar that never seemed to empty, a testament to her ever-present warmth and hospitality. No matter how far gone Peggy’s mind became, her great-grand babies always brought happiness to her heart and a radiant smile to her face.

She was of the Protestant faith and was a well-known, devoted, and beloved member of her church community.

Peggy is survived by her son, Robert E. Marlow Jr., and his wife, Virginia, of Wilburton; two daughters, Kelley Gundlach of Catawissa, and Lori Mahoney and her husband, Louis, of East Coventry. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their families: Laura Gundlach; Kelley Anne Gundlach-Witmer and her husband, Daniel, and their son, Dylan; Sarah Margaret Marlow and her fiancé, Anthony Maurer, and their blended family including Conor, James, Grayson, Margaret, and Henry; Amanda Elizabeth Dorkoski-Piner and her husband, Joshua, and their blended family, Zayden, Patrick, and Braddox; Kimberly Campbell and her daughter, Kayla; Michael Mahoney; and Brandon Mains.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Marlow Sr. and her daughter, Karen D. Labella.

Her legacy of warmth, kindness, and creativity lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

…In a while, Crocodile”
