Marjorie Zarko

Marjorie Zarko, 92 of 212 Greco Lane Wilburton passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Melton Mowbray England on April 21, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Dolly (Gotobed) Ardin.

She attended schools in England.

On October 6, 1945 she married Leonard S. Zarko who preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.

Prior to her retirement Marjorie had been employed for over 20 as a cook at the Pine Burr Inn in Atlas.

Marjorie was a lover or reading. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Marjorie was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by three sons Leonard Zarko, Jr. and his wife Charlene of Wilburton, David Zarko and his wife Becky of Winslow, Maine, and Paul Zarko and his wife Christine of Wilburton; two grandchildren Mike Zarko of Wisconsin and Lynette Ballinger of Mt. Carmel and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister Vera.

Religious services will be held on Monday July 31, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Rose Marquardt officiating. Interment will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park in Stonington. A viewing will be held on Monday morning from 8:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
