Martha (Liptock) Grabowski

Martha (Liptock) Grabowski, 84 of 135 Missouri Lane, Den-Mar Gardens passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 surrounded by her family at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Centralia on February 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kasinec) Liptock.

Martha attended Centralia schools and graduated from Con-Cen High School.

On May 28, 1966 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Centralia, she married Edward F. Grabowski who preceded her in death on August 19, 1992.

She had been employed by various plastic manufacturing companies until her retirement.

Martha was a member of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and doing puzzles and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

Surviving are her son, John Michael Grabowski and his wife Kelly of Mt. Carmel; daughter, Justine Marie Fiamoncini and her husband James of Mt. Carmel; grandchildren, Courtney Malukas and her husband Kevin, Abbi Swartz and her husband Joe, Michael Grabowski, Matthew Grabowski, Bryce Fiamoncini and his wife Sydney and Maura Fiamoncini; great grandchildren, Brynn Malukas, Owen Malukas and Margo Swartz; brother, Joseph Liptock; and sisters, Anna Herko, Susan Sokol and Helen Kaputa; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, George, Mark, Charles, Peter and John Liptock; and sisters, Marie Tyson and Catherine Huratiak.

Divine Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Archpriest Michael Hutsko officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kulpmont.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to SS Peter and Paul Church, 131 North Beech St. Mt.
