Mary Alice Rand

Mary Alice Rand of Frederick MD, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Mary Alice was born in Mount Carmel on April 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Gervase and Mary (Jacoboski) Schoppy.

 She was a graduate of Catholic High School in Mount Carmel.

 After high school she was employed by the US Geological Survey, prior to moving to Braddock Heights MD where she raised her family, later moving to nearby Frederick where she resided the remainder of her life. For a number of years, Mary Alice was a manager for Avon cosmetics and a member of Toastmasters. 

 Mary Alice is survived by a granddaughter Amanda Rand Campbell; sister, Sister Celeste Schoppy IHM; brothers, Gerald and Vincent and several nieces and nephews.

 She was predeceased by daughters, Carol Louder, Rosalie Rand, and Maria Randusky (stillborn); a grandson Alex Rand; and her former husband Walter Rand.
