Michael A. Bucher

Michael A. Bucher, Sr., 59 of 704 Spruce Street, Kulpmont passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born at the former Ashland State Hospital on November 3, 1961 he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Frances E. (Chapman) Bucher.

He was a 1980 graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School.

Michael served his county in the United States Navy.

He had been employed in the construction industry and had worked at International Paper in Mt. Carmel Township.

He is a member of Divine Redeemer Church in Mt. Carmel and the Laborers Union. He was an avid sports fan to say the least. He loved to watch football, baseball and NASCAR.

Surviving are his wife with whom he shared thirty-one years, the former Elizabeth “Beth” Retallack; their four children, Peter Kulik and his fiancé Amanda Yucha of Marion Heights, Vanessa Herbert and her husband Brandon of Catawissa, Jasmine Kulick of Kulpmont and Michael Bucher of Kulpmont; six grandchildren, Hunter, Jaxon, Lyla, Lucas, Kohen and Owen; one sister, Patricia Michalkovich and her husband Ronald of Den-Mar Gardens; two brothers, Daniel Bucher and his wife Robin of Mt. Carmel and David Bucher and his wife Ellie of Mt. Carmel, Sister in law Vera Bucher of Mt. Carmel, numerous nieces and nephews and brothers in law Theodore Retallack Locust gap and Randal Retallack of Kulpmont.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth and Dennis Bucher.
