Michael A. Halpin

ATLAS — Michael A. Halpin, 52, of 330 W. Girard St., Atlas, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at his home. Born March 13, 1963, in Woodhaven, New York, Michael was a son of the late Thomas J. and Mary (Larnaitis) Halpin. Michael served in the U.S. Navy from 1981 to 1993. On Oct. 3, 1985, in Mount Carmel, he married Sherry (Dunkleberger) Halpin, who survives. Michael was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by two daughters, Angela Baldwin and Heather Owens and her husband, David; two sons, Dennis Jensen and his wife, Svetlana, and Ronald Lutz; grandchildren Tyler Owens, Aiden Jensen and a baby girl due in July; three brothers, Thomas Halpin and his wife, Mary, Edward Halpin and his companion, Joann, and Stanley Halpin and his wife, Veronica; two sisters, Ann Marie Melvin and her husband, Donald, and JoAnn Kresofsky; a brother-in-law, Charles Verderose; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Vederose, and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Rossi and David Kresofsky. HELPIN — Michael A. Halpin, 52, of 330 W. Girard St., Atlas. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, supervisor, is in charge of arrangements.
