Michael A. Nolter

Michael A. Nolter, 70, of 224 South Chestnut Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Wednesday, June 7,2023.

Born at the former Ashland State Hospital he was the son of the late William Nolter, Sr. and Helen (Standock) Nolter who survives.

He was a 1970 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

On July 9, 1988 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, he married the former Rita A. Krashefski who survives.

Michael was employed for many years as a pipefitter, first for Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 520, Harrisburg and the for last twenty years at Merck and Company in Riverside before his retirement.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 520, Harrisburg.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two sons, Cody Nolter and his wife Maura of Kulpmont and Michael Nolter and his wife Mary Ellen of Gaithersburg, MD; one daughter, Megan Nolter and her partner Shawn; three grandchildren, Sierra Nolter and her fiancé Anthony, Aiden Nolter and Henry Nolter; and one sister, Gloria Michaliga of Harrisburg.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Nolter, Jr.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis Karwacki, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be strictly private.   In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, 47 South Market St., Mt.
