Michael Reilley, Jr., 89 of Elysburg, passed away Friday February 28, 2025 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.
Born in Byrnesville on November 26, 1935 he was the son of the late Michael Reilley, Sr. and Elizabeth (Burke) Reilley.
He was a 1953 graduate of Con-Cen High School.
He was married on January 22, 1966 in the former St. Peter’s Church in Mt. Carmel to Brunina (Bevivino) Reilley who survives.
Michael had been employed for many years as a Draftsman at the former Kennedy Van Saun Corporation in Danville.
He was an avid photographer and camera collector, as well as a Centralia and Byrnesville historian.
In addition to his wife Brunina Reilley, he is survived by three children, Michael Reilley, III and his wife Michelle, and their children Christina and Michael of Ashland; his son Patrick and his wife Anyela and their daughter Annalise of Numidia; and his daughter Suzanne Reilley of Mt. Carmel; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Theresa Tarlecki and Elizabeth Birney; five brothers William Reilley, James Reilley, Raymond Reilley; two infant brothers Patrick Reilley and Thomas Reilley.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday March 3, 2025 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with Monsignor Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. A viewing will be held Monday from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home 40 South Market Street Mt.
