Peter Liptock, 70 of Norristown formerly of Centralia passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Genesis Norriton Square Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Norristown.
Born in Centralia on June 16, 1948 he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Kasenic) Liptock.
Peter attended elementary school in Conyngham Township and attended Mt. Carmel High School.
Peter was of the Ukrainian Catholic faith.
For over 50 years Peter was employed as a bartender in Baltimore. He most recently worked at Harry’s Neighborhood Bar.
Peter was an avid golfer in his spare time.
He is survived by five sisters, Anna Herko of Spotswood, NJ, Susan Sokol of Glenside, Martha Grabowski of Den-Mar Gardens, Helen Kaputa of Plymouth Meeting, Marie Tyson of Santee, CA and one brother Joseph Liptock of Den-Mar Gardens.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Michael Liptock, Jr., George, Mark, Matthew, John and Charles Liptock, one sister Catherine Huratiak.
Divine Liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Centralia with the Very Rev. Michael Hutsko officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Liturgy in the church. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Assumption of the B.V.M. Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor is entrusted with arrangements.
