Robert D. Minnich

Robert D. Minnich, 81, a beloved husband and father passed away on October 16, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was born on February 10, 1942, in Locust Gap, Pennsylvania.

He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Township High School.

Having served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964, he demonstrated his patriotism and dedication to his country.

On May 22, 1965 in St. Joseph's Church in Locust Gap he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Joan (Boblick) Minnich who survives. 

Robert had a fulfilling career with Service Electric Cable Television, where he dedicated over thirty years of his life. He served the company as a Supervisor until his retirement. 

Aside from his work accomplishments, Robert had various interests and hobbies that enriched his life. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was the Locust Gap Little League Coach for many years.  In addition to being a sports enthusiast, he found solace in fishing and hunting. He also served as the Locust Gap Sesquieentenial President. 

Robert cherished his family dearly. He is survived by his loving wife Joan (Boblick) Minnich; their daughter Lisa Boyer and her husband Randy; and their faithful canine companion Molly. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Ann Minnich on February 2, 2009.
