Robert E. Tarlecki, 66 of Elysburg passed away suddenly on Monday, July 29, 2024 at his home.
Born on June 26, 1958 at the former Ashland State Hospital, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Theresa (Reilley) Tarlecki.
He was a 1977 graduate of North Schuylkill High School.
On November 14, 1980 in Centralia, he married Linda (Cadman) Tarlecki who survives.
Bob retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation after working for twenty years.
He was an avid trapshooter. He also enjoyed golfing, traveling and attending social events.
He was of the Catholic faith, an “A” member of the Valley Gun and County Club in Elysburg, Strausstown Rod and Gun Club, Amateur Trap Shooting Association and the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #349 in Elysburg.
Bob was an avid cat lover and rescuer. He had a great sense of humor, always saying something sarcastic that made everyone laugh.
He was a loving father and grandfather, who absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Tarlecki and his wife Melissa of Mt. Carmel; daughter, Melissa Minnich and her husband Dave of Liverpool; grandchildren, Mackenzie Minnich, Ethan Reeder, Claire Tarlecki, and Preston Minnich; brothers, Michael Tarlecki and his wife Carol of Mt. Carmel and James Tarlecki and his wife Linda of Aristes; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Centralia. A visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday from 8:30 until 9:45 am at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Mommy and Me Rescue, 610 East Fifth Street Mt.
