Ronald Charles Long

Raymond Charles Long, 73 of 427 East Seventh Street Mt. Carmel passed away on Monday February 14, 2022.

Born in Shamokin on September 19,1948, he was the son of the late John and Florence Long.

He was a 1968 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

He served two tours of duty in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Raymond was employed as a correctional officer, a Mt. Carmel Township policeman and most recently before his retirement he had been employed for Collier Paving.

He is survived by his fiancé, Vicky Paul of Mt. Carmel; one daughter, Hollie Long of Milton; two grandchildren, Aaron and Ember Long; one cousin, Susan Wilson and her husband Bryan of Kulpmont, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Religious services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Joan A. Brown officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
