Ronald Lloyd Davis, 72 of 39 South Hickory Street, Mt. Carmel passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at his home.
Born in Berwick on September 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Samuel Davis, and Jean (Witchey) Davis.
He was a 1967 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Ronald served in the United State Army from April 1968 until April of 1971. He served one tour in Vietnam from May of 1969 to April of 1970. He received the following citations, the Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars, the National Defense Medal; the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Sharpshooter Rifle.
Following his enlistment in the service, he was employed for many years as a meat cutter for Acme Markets until his retirement.
He was married in Frackville on December 28, 1974 to the former Susan Chappell who survives.
He was a member of Hope Community Church, Mount Carmel, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his wife of forty-six years, Susan Davis, he is survived by one son, Ron Davis, Jr. and his wife Misty of Nazareth; one daughter Heather Davis-Jenkins and her husband Dan of Harrisburg; three grandchildren Evan, Alexa and Emma Davis; one brother, James Davis and his wife Cheryl of Danville; one sister, Lisa Stout Zion Grove; one niece, Natasha Stout; and three grand-pups, Nhana, Jerico and Keva.
Religious services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Hope Community Church with Rev. Daniel Renno, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
