Theresa B. Harach

Theresa B. Harach, 70 of Newmanstown passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Reading Hospital, West Reading.

Born in Coal Township on August 23, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. Remetta Sr. and the late Katherine (Pohar) Remetta.

She was a 1970 graduate of Mount Carmel High School.

Theresa was the former owner and operator of bar/restaurants in Hazleton and Lancaster.

She loved animals, especially her Dachshund, “Mugsy” and her bird, “Bingo”.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband, Edward Harach on July 12, 2022.

Surviving are two brothers, Frank P. Remetta, Jr. and his wife Donna of Catawissa and Joseph A. Remetta of Mount Carmel; her nephew, Eric Remetta and his wife Kim with their children, Ryan Remetta, Madelynn Dorsey and Brookelynn Remetta all of Mechanicsburg; and her niece, Valerie Ambrose and her husband Ted with their sons, Scott and Jackson Ambrose all of Bloomsburg.

Panachyda Service will be held on Thursday morning, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mount Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. Father Michael Hutsko will officiate. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap, Ralpho Township. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
