Thomas D. Bogovich 73, of 301 North 6th Street, Kulpmont and a former resident of Mount Carmel passed away on Wednesday, October 17th 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on September 22nd, 1945 he was a son of the late Frank and Stella (Rawa) Bogovich.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and McCann’s School of Business.
Mr. Bogovich was a US Army Veteran.
On December 23rd, 1967 in the former St. Peter’s Church in Mt. Carmel he married Beverly (Smith) Bogovich who preceded him in death on April 14, 1996.
Thomas was employed as a machine operator at the Gilberton Coal Company until his retirement.
He was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel. He enjoyed fishing and coaching. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed watching all of their games.
Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his children and granddaughters who loved their “Nampa”.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Bogovich and his wife Kristy of Den-Mar Gardens and Jeffrey Bogovich and his fiancé Jen Spears of Kulpmont; two granddaughters, Lauren and Brynna Bogovich; three sisters, Frances (Bogovich) Goodeluinas of Winsor, Colorado, Jeanette (Bogovich) Bergan and her husband Francis of Oak Ridge Estates and Patricia (Bogovich) Wetzel and her husband Glenn of Mt. Carmel; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy Swatski, Elizabeth Muolo, Sophie Lindenmuth and Mildred Vitacco and five brothers, Peter, Stanley, John, Edward and Walter Ostroski.
A religious service will be held on Tuesday morning, October 23rd at 11:00 am with the Rev. Ryan Fisher officiating at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz, III Supervisor. A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
