Thomas M. Turlis, 62, of 320 South Poplar Street, Mount Carmel, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 suddenly in his home.
Born in Danville on September 24, 1962, he was a son of the late Myron Turlis, Sr. and Bernice (Parker) Turlis.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School and Williamsport Community College.
Thomas was married in Kulpmont on April 6, 2002 to Marian (Cortellini) Turlis who survives.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for thirty-one years.
Thomas was a member of the West End Fire Company in Kulpmont, the West End Athletic Club in Mt. Carmel and the Kulpmont Sportsman’s Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Robert Taylor and Jarrod Taylor; three grandchildren, Jacob, Molly and Rori Taylor; two brothers, Myron Turlis and his wife Linda and Michael Turlis; one sister, Christine Bernes and her husband Walter; one brother-in-law, Jack Cortellini and his wife Andera; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Turlis; father-in-law, Aldo and mother-in-law, Agnes Cortellini.
Graveside services will be held on Friday March 14, 2025 at 11:00 am in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township with the Rev. Andrew J. Stahmer officiating. Joseph J. Stutz, Inc.
