Virginia A. Reilly, 86 of 211 Greco Lane Wilburton passed away Tuesday September 12th, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Mt. Carmel on November 27, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther (Dropeskey) Gaughan.
Virginia was a graduate of Hubert Eicher High School in Centralia.
In 1951 in the former St. Ignatius Church in Centralia she married Edward “Bucksy” Reilly who preceded her in death on June 4, 2014.
During her lifetime Virginia had been employed at the Cardinal Container Corporation, Tri-State Envelope, the Centralia dress factory and she also owned the former Reilly grocery store in Centralia.
Virginia was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and former member of St. Ignatius Church in Centralia. She was also a member of the Centralia American Legion Auxiliary, Wilburton Senior Citizens and the Wilburton Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, housekeeping and spending time with her family.
Surviving are one daughter Judy Reilly with whom she resided; one son, Sean Reilly and his wife Debbie of Pottsville; one granddaughter Jen Dallago and her husband Adam; two great grandsons Reilly and Colton; one Sister Jolene Yokemick of Mt. Carmel; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers Raymond, Donald and Tony Gaughan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady, Mt. Carmel with the Rev. Patrick Devine as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Centralia. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10:15 a.m. at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street Mt. Carmel.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 47 South Market St. Mt. Carmel, Pa. 17851 or the Wilburton Senior citizens center 411 Main Street Wilburton, Pa. 17888.
