William James McFadden 56, of 137 Chestnut Lane Oak Ridge Estates Mt. Carmel Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home.
Born on April 25, 1962 he was a son of the late James J. McFadden and Eileen (Chapman) McFadden who survives.
William was a 1980 graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School. He attended Mansfield University for two years before entering the U.S. Air Force. After serving in the Air Force for four years, he then went on and graduated from Nebraska University.
He served in the United States Air Force with the Strategic Air Command from 1983 until 1987.
On November 23, 1990 at St. Paul’s Church in Atlas he married Ann (Kwiatkowski) McFadden who survives.
William had worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons retiring at the rank of Lieutenant.
He was a member of Divine Redeemer Church in Mt. Carmel.
William was an avid baseball fan; his favorite team was the New York Yankees. He was also a fan of the Nebraska Corn Huskers. He enjoyed fishing and attending his sons sporting events. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family; he was most especially proud of his three sons and considered himself blessed to be their father.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two sons, Bryan and Benjamin McFadden both at home; one brother, James McFadden, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Mt. Carmel; one sister, Angela Picarella and her partner Jeffrey Greco who was a close friend of Bill’s; his mother-in-law, Gloria Kwiatkowski of Atlas; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Nathan William McFadden on December 2, 2005; his father-in-law, Francis Kwiatkowski and his adored dog, Chloe McFadden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel. Rev. Ryan M. Fischer, Pastor will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until 10:45 am in the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mt. Carmel.
